The winner of the inaugural Bradetich Foundation International Double Bass Solo Competition is Artem Chirkov from Russia.
Mr. Chirkov wins a prize of $10,000 cash, a New York debut, a CD recording and numerous engagements worldwide. His first performance will be October 9th at the Berlin 2010 Bass Festival. (Photo by Jack Unzicker )

Semi-Finalists Announced
On Thursday, June 17th, nine competitors were chosen to perform a 40-minute recital in the semi-final round of the Bradetich Foundation Competition being held at the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas.
The semi-finals will be held Friday, June 18 with the finalists announced at 7 pm CST.
